Supply Excellence Lead Molding Lines at Mars
The job holder will Lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of a
sustainable Lean Operating System at the manufacturing site. Lead the readiness, execution and
maturity of Mars Supply Excellence initiative at the site and in conjunction with network support
team. Drive a learning culture that embraces standardized work, information flow, problem solving,
strategy deployment and continuous improvement. Develop and coach leaders to lead the site
under the Lean Operating System using defined tools and methods driving continuous
improvement activities and results.
He/She will be leading the identification, implementation and improvement of operating standards
within the assignment to the Value Stream to create leadership in customer satisfaction, waste
elimination, quality/safety improvements, effectiveness, etc by applying lean principles and tools.
He/She will be responsible to lead and deploy the MSE program implementation plan across their
VS along with coaching the relevant Pillar Leaders and Members
In Partnership with the Value Steam- oversees FI roadmap through: (FI Pillar team Support)
The Determination, implementation and improvements in operating standards with regard to
the safety of people and the quality of the product, waste elimination, customer satisfaction
in the value stream within the FI Pillar.
Develop and overlook the Implementation of the FI initiatives by analyzing data, devising and
implementing solutions together with various teams within the FI Pillar.
Supports FI team to gather relevant data needed for the QLS scan within his/her VS.
Deploy and drive CI and lean culture in the VS by: (Capability Building for lean tools & 10
Train & coach different teams on Mars 10 Steps of P.S. tools & process flow.
Being the expert and knowledge carrier of CI techniques such as PDCA and Six Sigma.
Contributing to the LEAN training calendar as a trainer/support.
Working closely with the MSE Site lead to align goals and priorities.
Train and develop Kaizen capabilities through the Lean institute and Lean Enterprise
Supports E&T Pillar by developing knowledge check program for shop floor associates.
Responsible for SUC validations for different pillar members & supports in performance
coaching for associates to build their progression plan within the SUC.
Mars Supply Excellence Deployment & Regional Support.
Manage the deployment of the MSE program for the VS
Supports the operational transition to MSE by ensuring capability development in his/her VS.
Assesses cultural change progress and capability building and adjusts plans accordingly.
Partners with VSM and team around MSE initiatives.
Coaches on pillar progress, identify gaps, and assists with training or education as needed.
Reviews metrics to ensure performance and increases challenge accordingly.
Provides technical expertise to increase the number of zero breakdown machines, reduce
breakdown reoccurrences and increase Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) & different
Nurtures the MSE Culture with the Value Stream, responsible for MSE popularity and
branding + periodic MSE communications.
Connection point with the Community Of Practice for different pillars to ensure mutual
learning with different sites in the region.
Lead, teach and coach others while implementing key activities across manufacturing
achieving YOY financial and KPI targets and MSE transformation.
Assess the site against progression criteria and support the Leadership team in identifying
gap closure countermeasures.
Build capability in the Value Stream, manage, sustain and improve the MSE Pillars.
Train Site Leaders to coach the Area Leadership Teams in the execution of the DMSs.
